“We had such a fantastic experience with True North Boating Sea Safari! From start to finish, Paul was an excellent host – welcoming, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about the sea and its wildlife.
The trip itself was incredible. We saw an abundance of wildlife, from seabirds and curious seals to a truly magical encounter with many dolphins swimming alongside the boat. It was such a special experience and one we’ll never forget.
The boat was comfortable, the atmosphere relaxed, and Paul made sure everyone onboard felt at ease while also sharing interesting insights along the way.
I would highly recommend this trip to anyone visiting the area – it’s a perfect mix of adventure, stunning scenery, and wildlife encounters!”

It was a breathtakingly amazing experience for me and my family. The skipper told us about the surroundings and the animals. Nature is really very beautiful. We had dolphins next to the boat and have also seen seals. The Reservation was clear, by phone and via whatsapp. We were also kept well informed if it went ahead due to weather and to park received the exact location. Highly recommended!

True North Boating Sea Safari Inishowen Ireland

We booked TrueNorth Boating Sea Safari last minute today for my brothers birthday. Aimee responded promptly to my call over WhatsApp. She took my booking and asked if any of the group were children, she advised on suitable clothing and footwear, that life jackets are provided and what time to be there.
This was not our first trip as this attraction is practically on our doorstep, 20 minute drive to Bunagee Peir Culdaff.
Paul our skipper, as always, was very knowledgeable offering information on the various clusters of rocks along the coast, the behaviours of the water/sea and he was spotting the seals before anyone else. He knew how to get the dolphins to put on a show for us - which they did much to our delight, and he showed us where the cormorants and guillemots nested. We stopped a few times to wait for the seals or the dolphins and he let us know each time he was due to start moving so we had time to get seated and safe. The weather was absolutely stunning which was a bonus and made the sea safari even more enjoyable than usual.
Out for an hour and half is unbelievably good value for money and I highly recommend TrueNorth Boating trips. Bring cash to pay for your trip as there is no card machine on the boat.
Their Facebook page is well kept up to date. During the busy season I would advise to book in advance, however its also worth looking out for cancellations.

Must-do trip to Inishtrahull Island

We took a trip out to Inishtrahull Island. Boat was super, saw lots of seals and some dolphins, enjoyed our couple of hours on the island and walked up to the old lighthouse, over to the new lighthouse and down to the old school. We got a great day for it too. Highly recommend this trip and the True North team.

Amazing sea safari experience

This was a really great experience for my family and I. We got to see some beautiful sights and were lucky enough to see an amazing pod of dolphins swimming by the boat. I would definitely recommend this as a day out.

The booking process was seamless a detailed brief on the trip, clear timings and pricing.
The sea safari itself was fantastic, the Captain very knowledgeable of the area and spotting the wildlife around. To then see the dolphins swim and jump along side the boat was breathtaking, a sight not to be missed!
A good period of time spent to watch dolphins, seals and birds. The scenery just beautiful.
Would highly recommend to anyone our booking ranged from ages 2 - 88 and everyone had a great time!

Super trip on a beautiful warm sunshining evening along the north east coast with Inishtrahull & Malin Head enroute. The dolphins & seals graced us with their presence which added to the occasion and with Paul at the helm kept us informed & safe along the way. Excellent Experience

This 1.5 hour tour was an amazing experience from start to finish. Not being from the region, we decided to go with them based solely on prior excellent reviews. We were not disappointed. We boarded on time and were pleasantly surprised that the boat was extremely comfortable even for one of us who suffers from back issues. We were also nice and cozy under the plastic rain cover as the weather wasn’t great outside. Our skipper was very knowledgeable about the region, its history and its wildlife. He was also friendly and personable. The scenery was stunning and being in a boat at the base of the cliffs provided us with a unique and memorable view of Ireland from a different angle. And then there was the wildlife!!! As soon as we got on the boat our skipper said he knew where to spot dolphins and off we went! Within minutes we saw over a dozen dolphins up close as they swam around our boat. Next up our skipper took us to see seals swimming at the base of stunning cliffs dotted with sheep. We also got to see many birds of the region and our skipper could name them all. During our voyage our skipper also told us wonderful maritime stories which were fascinating. Cannot recommend enough.

We went on the sea safari. The scenery was stunning and we got to see some seals! Paul our captain was very friendly and informative about the area, tides, history and geography. This is a must do trip if you are visiting the north of Ireland.

This was a fun trip. Family of all ages loved it. We saw wild dolphins and seals. I would do this again. Boat ride by itself was fun. We went on a calm sunny day.
