Our Story - How True North Boating Started

True North Boating was introduced in 2021 as a family run boat tour business to exhibit the breathtaking scenery and wildlife along the northern coastline of Inishowen, County Donegal.

Our qualified skippers are dedicated to providing safe, fun, educational and memorable experiences to all of our passengers.

Our 11 metre  Redbay Stormforce RIB, MAKO is fully licensed and insured and equipped with the finest safety features and navigations onboard. We are licensed to carry 12 passengers and 2 crew members.

Come explore the breathtaking Inishowen coastline aboard a boat trip with True North Boating. We are Ireland’s most northerly Sea Safari on the coastline of the Wild Atlantic Way. During the Sea Safari, you will discover the vast and rugged northern Inishowen coastline, spanning from Culdaff towards Malin Head . Along the way you may encounter some spectacular marine wildlife including bottlenose and common dolphins, basking sharks, minke whales and common and grey seals! You may also get the opportunity to view the incredible avian wildlife that make this part of Ireland their home. The Inishowen coastline is amazing to view from the sea with its stunning cliffs and rock formations seen along the Sea Safari trip. 

Our boat trips are fun for the entire family and unique as the passengers are able to get up close to nature, while respecting the natural environment. A Sea Safari trip will guarantee wonderful memories!
